Gongs are among the oldest and most important musical instruments in Southeast Asia.
They come in different designs and sizes.
In Peter Hess® sound massage and sound pedagogy, the gong has become a central instrument alongside the singing bowl.
For our work, the Feng and TamTam gongs, which we have been purchasing in Asia for years, have proven particularly effective. We pay attention to selected, tested quality, because only then your gong will give you great pleasure while playing and listening.
It can be played on both sides, the smaller sizes up to 55 cm diameter can also be held well in the hand. The large gongs are hung in the gong stand. They are valuable companions in sound work, sound therapy and sound massage.
The Chinese feng gong is an almost flat disc made of polished bronze alloy. Because of its radiant glow, it is sometimes called a sun gong. This gong is chased almost rimless from a thin, light yellow metal plate and is slightly domed. This allows the vibrations to spread more easily, and the gong begins to vibrate vigorously when struck harder. This gong is made in excellent quality for sound work.
The gongs have 2 holes each and are provided with a cord for hanging.
