The Joint Bowl, also called Universal Bowl, is thin-walled and characterized by an intense vibration.

If this Singing Bowl is played with different mallets, you can change the sound character. This means that with small hard mallets, this Singing Bowl becomes very dominant in its overtones (all high tones are clearly highlighted). With thicker soft mallets this bowl sounds much deeper and the strongly dominating low frequencies become audible and tangible.
